Very good piece. His point about U2’s newest songs getting the most praise and recognition at live shows is so true. My brother and all his friends think “Vertigo” is the best thing U2’s ever done. The’re hopelessly naive, of course, but that’s easy to see. I’m not sure what the larger thesis behind that statement is though . . .
And I thought I was the senbslie one. Thanks for setting me straight.
