By now you've gotten to know my man Bigs pretty well, so I thought it was time for me to introduce myself.
I am the Bones half of Big & Bones.
I call Jersey my home and the New York Yankees my team. Other than that I am a sports nomad wandering the barren landscape of lackluster franchises like the Minnesota Vikings and the New Jersey Nets.
Bigs and I don't agree very often. He's from Texas, I'm from the Northeast. I don't think it gets any uglier than that. So to give you all a picture of where I'm coming from, here's my sports statement of faith.
I BELIEVE...
- The gods love sports, but they love Bill Russell and the New York Yankees more than anyone else.
- If you can't beat 'em, buy 'em.
- The 1998 Minnesota Vikings broke my heart.
- The Catch 2.0.
- There will never be another Yogi Berra.
- Lawrence Taylor felt no pain.
- The 40 yd dash is overrated.
- The Cubs will win the Series in my lifetime.
- 61 and 755 will never be broken.
- Practice isn't overrated.
- and that there's no crying in sports.
